So, I have a confession to make. I have an addiction to ice-cream. I’m an ice cream-aholic if you will. Every night without fail, my taste buds yearn for the frozen, sweet, creamy goodness of a dish of ice cream. (With a drizzle of chocolate on top.) However, now that I’m counting calories and working out, I can no longer keep it in my house or I will seriously save enough calories to have at least 1 cup. It’s pathetic really. I’ve been going through withdrawals until I got my monthly Shape on my Kindle!
Now this my friends, is ground breaking. Genius! Frozen banana! Who would’ve thunk. It’s has the cold and the sweet and the creamy that I crave and I am now content without the extra calories, sugar, etc. Here’s how ya do it:
Peel, cut, and freeze one banana in a Tupperware container.
When frozen, (or at least frosty and chilled if you’re impatient), place in a blender and blend until smooth. You may have to add a little milk to help with this process. Next, add a drizzle of chocolate (I prefer Hershey’s Light) or honey and ENJOY. Because trust me, you will enjoy this!
Okay, bare with me for a second. I’m going to be one of “those moms” that spends an entire paragraph talking about how lucky I am to have the amazing daughter in the world. She truly is incredible though. She’s practically running all over the house now, she’s getting almost too good at repeating what we say, and she can learn a new sign in almost an instant. Tonight, among many other nights, she finished her dinner and as soon as I put her down said “bath” and did the sign for “bath” and darted towards the bathroom. It’s things like that, that make me smile and make waking up at 4am, like I had to this morning, totally 100% worth it.
Enjoy the rest of your day 🙂
