Things are about to get a little bit more hectic around here. Next Monday I begin two more classes. One is online and the other is a hybrid class that is both given online and in classroom form on Saturday mornings. Thankfully, I’ll be done with my nursing assistant class and clinicals on the 18th of November and will take the test out to become a state licensed nursing assistant shortly there after.
But, it’s still going to be difficult. I’m not one who does well with change. Example, when my nursing assistant class started my eye twitched for almost a week and I was just a mess trying to figure out my schedule and when to do what. And that was only with one class. For those of you who are easy going people who just coast through changes like it’s no big deal… I envy you.
I’ve been working on getting as much organizing done as possible and keeping the house tidy. There’s nothing that distracts me more or adds more stress to my day than a sink full of dishes or a closet in serious need of organizing. So I’ve been cleaning and organizing little by little everyday. Hopefully that helps and hopefully I can work out some sort of system to keep things organized and tidy when things start to get a little hectic next week.
maple leaf latte from our local coffee shop: everyday joe. pumpkin spice latte ain’t got nothin’ on this.
Besides organizing and cleaning, I’ve also been trying to get all my ducks in a row and everything in order for the form deadline for the Nursing program. That means today Alea and I made a trip to Shopko prior to my doctors appointment so she could have something new to keep her occupied while I got not one, but two mantouxs (the first didn’t quite bubble like it should) and got my blood drawn for a titer. Alea did great though and even held my hand while I got my mantoux and blood drawn. Isn’t she the sweetest? I plan on tucking away those goodies we bought to keep her busy when I really need to get some studying done… smart mama right here 😉
In other news, Alea’s smiles and infectious giggles are keeping me going. Alea just got her 14th tooth in the other day… 14 teeth! Can you believe that? And she’s starting to say 3-4 word phrases! We spent quite a while the other night in search of her little Bert figurine and she wouldn’t stop saying, “Bert? Where are you?” It was just about the cutest thing. But still not as cute as when she says, “I love you Mama!” Oh that girl sure knows how to melt my heart… and get her way too of course…!
