This time I used one medium sized onion, a can of diced tomatoes and a can of mushrooms. I also used (not pictured) Italian seasoning, garlic salt, one packet of Splenda, salt and pepper, and just a touch of cumin.
And of course, whenever I chop onions I must use protective equipment. Thank goodness I took Chemistry during my Freshman year of college or I wouldn’t have these bad boys on hand. Cory always gives me grief for wearing them, but at least I don’t cry so hard I can’t see and chop my finger off. Because that would be bad.
Also, a couple dashes of Tabasco sauce will seriously make the sauce. That hint of spice will tickle your taste buds and also emphasize all of the other flavors in the sauce.
See? It’s easy to make something amazingly delicious out of things you already have on hand and a $1 can of spaghetti sauce!
