When Alea first started taking books off her bookshelf (which is also my bookshelf from when I was younger and was made by my grandpa) I was always that mom who re-organized the entire shelf each night before putting her to bed. The books were lined up perfectly according to height and everything was “just so.”
But then, I got lazy. Well, maybe it’s not that I got lazy. Maybe I just got smart. She’s just going to mess it all up again the next day. Is it really worth all the time and effort I put in organizing each book? No way Jose.
No matter how the books are laid out on her shelf, she can always find just the one she wants and will spend hours upon hours reading every single day. This is something I just love about Alea. She loves to read. She loves to read by herself and she loves it when Cory and I, or anyone for that matter, reads to her. She just seems to have this natural draw towards reading that I, too, had when I was younger and still have to this day.
Can’t wait to buy this little peanut her first Kindle when she grows up. Or whatever newfangled thing they have then!
Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday, xoxo!
