This is what every afternoon looks like at our house. As soon as Alea’s awake from her nap, we race to the freezer (after a quick trip to the potty, of course), grab our popsicles and go sit on the front steps of our house. We Alea drips popsicle all over herself because she can’t eat it faster than it melts in the midst of this hot summer and we giggle and laugh and I sit there amazed at just how much my little girl can tell me and how much she can say. We count, practice spelling her name, and talk about how much we love her daddy and our dog, Bentley.
It’s my favorite part of our day, the time we get to spend together. It’s completely worth the sticky mess that results and I know I’m going to miss these afternoons like crazy when I’m back in school this fall and this winter when we’ll be giggling over hot cocoa rather than ice cold popsicles.
aww! This is so very sweet!
These photos are adorable!
So cute—popsicles are the BEST!! It’s like pure gold for toddlers!

This is so sweet. I can’t get over the fact that my 3-year old can actually have full on conversations with me. We went to lunch just the two of us recently and it was like going out to lunch with my friend! We chatted and ate…it was great. New follower!
