I promise I’m not trying to brag when I say this, but I absolutely love that my daughter enjoys her sleep & sleeps in each morning. I always wake up before she does, but it still gives me time to relax and bed and wake up before she does. I enjoy that time so, so much. And this morning it’s given me time to write to you. Last night I stayed up late teaching myself Photoshop Elements and let me tell you, that is no easy task! I found a great “31 Days to Learning Photoshop” series that is full of great tutorials and really dumbs it down for not so computer savvy people like myself. I highly recommend it. The above photo is my very first Photoshop edit and while it’s not the greatest I’m sure, (keep in mind I’m a newbie), I’m in love with it. It’s silly, it’s goofy and it’s 100% Alea. I used The Pioneer Woman’s free Photoshop Actions and whoa do they make editing a breeze while adding some great quality to your photos.
Do you have any advice to share with a first-time photoshop-er like myself? I’d love to hear your tips & tricks!
Today will be spent doing lots and lots of cleaning preparing for the arrival of Cory’s mom and her boyfriend tomorrow afternoon. We’ve done a lot of cleaning and organizing so far, but I feel like only so much can be done before hand or else Bentley (our chocolate lab) or Alea, well lets face it both of them, just mess it all up again.
I will also be filming a vlog today to link up with Rags to Stitches coffee date tomorrow. I’m SO excited. I’ve always loved watching everyone that links up with her so I decided to give it a go myself.
I’ll be seeing you tomorrow again around this time. Bring a fresh cup of coffee and we’ll talk about what we’ve been up to lately!
