you're invited: girls night out

Okay, let's be real for a second here. I don't get out too often. And truthfully, I'm okay with that. I'd much rather spend a Friday night snuggled up on the couch with my man and my little Lou watching Toy Story than out getting all crazy. Another truth: I'd rather just go out for an afternoon coffee or to a cute Mexican restaurant for a pina colada (and maybe some dancing in the rain?). But part of me is a little sad I missed out on my 21's. (I'm now 22). I was breast-feeding a beautiful 11 month old baby girl on my 21st birthday. Don't get me wrong, we did go out and we did have a lot of fun with friends, but we went home early and it just wasn't the "picture perfect" 21st birthday bash I had in mind.

Here is what my ultimate girls night out would look like:
(& you all are invited!)

I'd wear something like this, but either complain my feet hurt the entire time or fall flat on my face. Fun fact: I hate heals, never wear them and can't walk in them to save my soul. We'd go to downtown Minneapolis to the Shout House, a dueling piano bar, because I've always wanted to go! We'd listen to great music and stay out as late as we want. We'd of course have to get a hotel downtown as well, because I live in the boonies way too far away from Minneapolis. We would take lots of pictures, some ridiculous, some cute enough to save for our blogs, and shake our booties all night long!

After we woke up the next day, we'd enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant and I'd probably order eggs benedict and lots and lots of coffee. At breakfast we'd talk about our night and relive the best girls night we've ever had.

Before leaving town, we'd be sure to stop and fuel up at Starbucks before heading home. Because, like I said, Minneapolis is quite the jaunt from my house. I wouldn't want to say good-bye, but we'd make sure to plan out another fun girls night very, very soon.

Now, while the above description of my ultimate girls night sounds fun, I think this girls night sounds like even more fun!
