back to school jitters

Today I go back to school. Today I continue to work towards my dream of becoming a nurse. But I'm not having the easiest time with it all. I'm sad to have to leave my baby girl 3 days a week again. I'm sad that I'm going to be stressed beyond belief and that it's likely going to affect my family as well. I'm sad that my house is going to completely fall apart and I'll be lucky if I get the laundry done each week.

But I'm happy. I'm happy because I have the opportunity to work towards my dreams. I'm happy because I have a wonderful baby sitter that I know will take care of Alea as if she was her own daughter. And I'm so thankful that I can work towards a degree that will completely change my family's life & lifestyle. 3 more semesters to go, guys.

I can do this.

  1. You have done so well getting to where you are, like you say 3 semesters and you have done it!

I graduate in November this year and our baby arrives in September, so I was fortunate not to need to juggle both but instead I worked full time and studied part time. I believe its a whole lot more satisfying!

    Good luck :)

  2. Get it girl! You have worked so hard to be where you are and you are so close to being done! You are doing this for Alea and when she is older she wont remember you being away she will only remember all the fun you guys have together and she will know that you did this so she can have a better future! Not to mention it has been your dream from before you became a mom! You will do great! You are a smart, beautiful, talented young woman and a wonderful mother! You can do it all and so what I'd the house looks like a mess, messes are only temporary! Good luck this semester! You can do it!!

You will find a new normal and get through these 3 semesters, no doubt. And, you've got your new VA to help you here in the bloggy world. ;) Love you lots and wishing you an awesome first day back at school! xoxo

  16. My boyfriend just finished school and started practicing as a PA. The time and energy he spent on school was totally worth it because tomorrow he gets his first real paycheck! Your hard work and sacrifice will pay off in the end.
