These weeks just fly by lately, don’t they? I feel like I just finish with a little two week recap post and then it’s time to post another!
We’ve had a fun & busy couple of weeks and I’m just in awe with how quickly Alea seems to be growing up before my very eyes– more so than usual it seems! I think it might have something to do with the fact that her 3rd birthday is right around the corner, but I’m trying not to think about that right now 😉
We tried this delicious chicken & stuffing casserole recipe from Pinterest (for the second or third time) and it’s easily become one of my favorites. It’s so quick and easy to just throw together and it’s so hearty and delicious! It really fills you up and the leftovers are TO DIE FOR.
I’m totally a sucker for a cute label and that’s exactly what prompted me to try Real Beanz coffee. And a plus? It’s completely natural + works as a great pick-me-up. And the label on the back? Even cuter + even funnier!
Alea’s become obsessed with her little baby dolls. She has two that she takes care of almost everyday– Bri + Harper– who I’m pretty sure she named after our old neighbors. We miss them so much! But I couldn’t help but snap a quick picture of this sweet little moment between my baby + her little baby! I think she’ll make a really good mommy… about a million years from now!
Alea has become such a little adventurer. I can’t wait until the snow melts and we’re able to get outside more. Unfortunately I think that’ll be put on hold for a while yet again, because we’re supposed to get dumped on again today + tomorrow. Yuck! We are so, so ready for spring over here!
When Alea doesn’t nap, she tends to fall asleep in strange positions on her daddy. It’s kind of hilarious. This night, we ended up bringing her straight to bed!
Alea + Cory’s relationship is so sweet. They’re good for each other. I’m more reserved (and basically scared of everything) and one to read and do crafts with her, whereas Cory’s all for running around, wrestling, and jumping off counter tops. I can’t say I didn’t have a heart attack (or three) while watching my little girl jump from the counter into her daddy’s arms, but I’m thankful that it doesn’t seem as though she’ll inherit her mother’s fraidy-cat ways!
I ripped the tag off of a Beanie Baby. So sue me! ::winks::
Before Alea left for La Crosse with Cory for the weekend, her and I sat down and started on a fun little craft. Expect a little tutorial for these brightly colored window decorations sometime in the near future! So easy + so fun!
You should have seen Alea’s face when she received her shipment of Chobani Champion cups! She’s just about made it through her stash too and it’s only been a couple of weeks! Look for a review + giveaway in a couple of weeks! We’re happy to share the Chobani love with you all!
Remember in my coffee date vlog how I said I aced my test? Yeah, I treated myself to a pretzel. Sometimes you just have to!
I’m going to be a bit of tease now and tell you that my adorable friend Miss Bobee sent me her gender announcement scratch off card in the mail and NOT tell you what the sex of her baby is– because I’m not sure if it’s allowed on the interwebs yet ::winks:: I know, I can be so mean sometimes, can’t I?
Alea and I took a trip to Caribou Coffee to study for my exam with a friend of mine and they have the perfect little “study nook” in the corner– which also doubles as a quiet space for Alea to read + play on the iPad so mommy can actually study sans interruptions! Thanks Caribou!
No joke. On the way to school last week I followed not one, but THREE houses the entire way to school. That, my friends, is just my luck!
I had so much fun taking pictures with my pretty new camera for recipe post that’s due to go live tomorrow morning. I’m sorry, but if you don’t make this recipe you’re CRAZY. It was so good! Want a hint? Think cranberries + brown rice.
As I mentioned before, Alea and Cory made a trip to La Crosse this past weekend to visit his family. I opted to stay home because a had to get a start on an upcoming project for school. And also? I just needed some time to myself… bad! While I (of course) missed my Alea Lou, I had such a relaxing time watching movies, catching up on my blog + working on my project. It was just nice to sit down and do homework without being interrupted 7 million and a half times. You know? But while I awaited I was so anxious to see them both again and snuggle up my little girl! Distance makes the heart grow fonder, that’s for sure!
What have you been up to lately?
