DIY Chalkboard Mug + K-cup Gift

I love gifts that come from the heart. Gifts with a little homemade touch and a little bit of extra love are always my favorite. It warms my heart when I know that someone took the time and effort to put that special touch on a gift for me and I love doing that for others as well. A couple of Christmas' ago I made an effort to create handmade gifts for each member of my family. I'd love to do that again for this coming Christmas, but I'm thinking this might make a wonderful Mother's Day or Father's Day gift-- both of which are right around the corner!

I'm excited to share a little, easy DIY that will have the coffee & k-cup lover in your life swooning!

Wrap it up with some pretty paper & tie with a bow or place it in a pretty bag and you're good to go. And don't forget to load it with a variety of k-cups to satisfy their caffeine cravings! My personal favorite? The Newman's Own Cafe Almond Biscotti k-cup. It doesn't get much more delicious than that!

Materials:

1. Chalkboard paint

2. A cute mug

3. Painters tape

4. Paint brush

Directions:

Tape off the area you'd like to paint & then paint with chalkboard paint. Make sure you read the instructions on your specific can or bottle of chalkboard paint, because some require you to wait a certain amount of time before you begin writing on it.

Staples provided me with the different varieties of K-Cups to review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own. To see their full line of available K-Cup flavors, visit Staples.com.
