It’s summertime and for many that means a lack of inspiration in the blogging department. It’s not like we’re not up and doing things, but it’s more so we can’t find the patience to sit down at the computer and type out and share our experiences. I love this post from Bonnie about the 10 most powerful resources for blog topic ideas. I will definitely be utilizing some of these!
I’m loving this abstract art on a canvas. Jennifer did an amazing job! And while you’re there, check out her new blog design. It totally has me itching for a new one!
We’ll definitely be trying this sausage, pepper & cilantro lime rice recipe soon. It’s perfect for those nights where it’s just too hot to turn on the oven and I’d rather just send Cory out in front of a hot grill… poor guy 😉
If you saw my toddler summer wish list you know I’m totally obsessing over getting Alea the Infantino Fresh Squeezed Squeeze Station. I’m pretty sure Krystal’s post about making your own squeeze pouches convinced me I have to get it. Like today.
I’ve had Microsoft Office One Note on my computer forever and ever, but I’ve never known how to use it or what to use it for. However, with Paige’s tutorial on One Note, I think I’ll definitely be using it to transcribe my notes for next semester! It looks a lot easier than I thought it would be.
Lettuce wraps, fish tacos, and a fresh quinoa salad all come to mind when I’m thinking of summer recipes. They’re all cool and easy and Becky has a fantastic combination of these summer recipes complete with a downloadable shopping list for them all! It doesn’t get much easier than that!
I’m always looking for toddler-friendly apps for Lou for our iPad. While I love that she can watch Netflix and PBS kids, I love it even more when she plays educational games. Kelly has a great list of toddler friendly apps— some of which I’ve never even heard of! I can’t wait to download them!
Even though it’s summertime, I still crave a good bowl of soup. It’s just my comfort food! And Jackie has the most delicious looking potato, chickpea and spinach soup that I’m dying to try!
Blogging is hard sometimes. We put our whole lives out there for people to criticize and ridicule and judge. My dear friend Jodi just recently received her first negative comment and I know how hard that can hurt. I’d say she handled it with grace by writing this post. How would you have handled it?
And this baby announcement by Ashlea was one of the cutest I think I’ve ever seen! Go send her all your congratulations and well wishes for a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby!
