If we were having coffee today… I’d probably crack open a Diet Pepsi instead. It’s been way too hot in Minnesota this week to drink a hot cup of coffee. We’re talking mid to high 90s and insanely humid. I don’t know how you southern folks do it. I just can’t handle all that heat! But then again, I’m Minnesotan, so you’ll catch me whining about it being way too cold in the winter, too. We’re a bit bipolar when it comes to weather. But seriously, why can’t it be 70 and sunny year round?
If we were having coffee today… I’d tell you that if you want a little something to eat, we’ll have to use paper plates. Cory’s been re-finishing our counter tops (we’re using this Rustoleum Counter Top Transformation kit). While I’m really excited to see how it turns out and even more excited to get rid of our previously blue-grey counter tops, it totally sucks not being able to use the counters and not having a kitchen sink. And our dishwasher isn’t hooked up due to lack of the aformentioned kitchen sink. Maybe we can do dishes in the kiddie pool together?
If we were having coffee today… I’d tell you that my first week of school is going amazing. So much better than I thought! It’s still quite the adjustment and all this textbook reading is going to take some getting used to, but so far so good. Alea’s made the transition back to daycare better than I could have ever imagined and that makes this week a success no matter what!
If we were having coffee today… We’d probably be interrupted by Alea showing us her new Little Mermaid toys. She’s been obsessed with them all week and we’re very excited to show you the little crafty activity we put together for you guys next week! I’m just surprised that she somehow knows all of the characters names even though she’s too scared to watch the movie– because Ursula turns into a big octopus monster. She’s scared of at least one scene in all of the movies she owns. Silly little girl!
If we were having coffee today… I’d tell you that I’m not looking forward to already having a quiz to take before next week and having our first exam the week after next. Seriously? Talk about diving into this semester head first! I’ll be buried in textbooks and highlighters if you need me!
What would you tell me if we were having coffee today? What are your weekend plans?
