I’ve been longing for scarf weather since about the middle of June. I’m not even going to lie. I love scarf weather. If I could wear a scarf in June or July without sweating half to death, I’d always have one around my neck. I’ve said it a million times on this blog, but I’m just not an accessory person. Scarves make this accessories-inept girl not so scared of accessorizing. And this scarf? I apologize if you see it a million more times in outfit photos this winter. I saw it at Target and knew I just had to make it mine. Now it’s only left my neck a handful of times since then. Sorry I’m not sorry.
After a week of tests and having family in town last week and being out of town in La Crosse last weekend for our nieces’ birthday party, we’re slowly but surely getting back to our routine around here. The whole time change thing, doesn’t make it all that easy. I honestly don’t get the whole “fall back” and “spring forward” business. It used to be something I looked forward to, but now with Miss Alea around, that “extra hour” just makes her cranky at the end of the day because she doesn’t know how to sleep in. Remind me that I complained about this when she’s 16 and sleeping half the day away, okay?
This week I’m also participating in this awesome 10-day Beach Body/Shakeology challenge. I have to admit, I’m a little nervous about it all, but I just need to get myself over the fact that not all goals are meant to be accomplished right away. Eating healthy + changing habits is meant to be a slow, gradual progress. Slow and gradual has always been hard for my “all-or-nothing” personality, though. It’s going to be fun! I’m looking forward to continuing this vegetable eating streak and adding a yummy shake into my days as well. It’s the working out thing that I’m most worried about. This is the part that I always fail at. Send some motivational energy waves my way? Please?
So far, I’ve been drinking one Shakeology shake/day, documenting my intake in MyFitnessPal and I’ve done 2/8 workouts. That’s not too shabby, if you ask me!
(And a special thanks to my mama for snapping these photos!)
What are you up to this week? What’s your must-have fall accessory?
