It’s no secret that it’s been freezing cold around these parts. It’s almost getting ridiculous. With all this polar vortex mumbo jumbo, I can’t help but think about the postal and delivery workers that still have to brave the cold to deliver our mail and packages. I don’t think there’s any job I’d hate more than those two jobs and days where it’s 50 below zero with the windchill like it’s been in Minnesota lately.
And it’s just as cold today as it was last week. So cold in fact, that they’re closing many school districts in Minnesota. Growing up, I don’t remember school every closing due to such temperature extremes, but then again, I don’t remember it ever being this cold then either! Even though our schools are closing though, our mail workers are still getting their job done and delivering our mail and packages in the coldest of temperatures.
While waiting for a couple packages last week when temps were absolutely frigid, I got to thinking. What could I do to make the mail lady’s day? Or what could I do to make the day of the UPS or FedEx man? I would love to greet them with a mug of hot cocoa, but I never have any disposable cups on hand and I probably wouldn’t have it prepared when they stopped by. Enter, this adorable hand warmer gift!
And here’s a printable you can print out and use just for your hand warmers. All you have to do is right click and save. It’s already at the perfect size for your hand warmers. I opened it on my Microsoft Word software and printed it right out after I whipped it up in Photoshop!

They frequently have these little hand warmer packages at the dollar store or in the Target dollar section. If you’re in a cold-weather state, grab a couple the next time you’re out and about (hopefully not in sub-zero temperatures) and attach the free printable above with some double stick tape and you’re good to go. I added a pretty bakers twine for a little something extra. You could also use some ribbon or anything you have lying around the house!
Spring and summer, could you please make your debut soon? I’m anxious but extremely afraid to see what the groundhog has to say this weekend. If you’re in the tropical climates of Arizona and Southern California right now, I kind of dislike you. A lot.
What’s the weather like around your place?
