Laundry is and will always be my least favorite chore… ever. I can’t stand it. It’s that one chore (much like dishes) as soon as you think you’ve caught up with it, there’s 5 more loads to do. You know what I mean? It’s just overwhelming to me. For a while, after I started working full-time I was spending all of my days off just catching up with laundry alone. For one day, I’d be washing load after load and hanging them up to dry and the next day I’d be folding and putting all of the clothes away. It didn’t help much that after sorting out all of the colors, we’d have a teeny tiny load of whites to do. However, after discovering Purex® No Sort™ laundry detergent, I’ve cut down our laundry by at least 1-2 loads and we’ve thankfully experienced no color bleeding accidents! Cory’s especially grateful for that since I have a history of ruining a couple of his favorite button-up work shirts. Not only am I cutting down on laundry, but I’m also saving a relationship here! 😉
one: Do Enlist Help Since laundry is one of my least favorite chores, I refuse to do it on my own. Cory really hates putting laundry away and I don’t blame him. That’s my least favorite part of the process, too. But, it’s his job to get the laundry downstairs and into the the washing machine and it’s my job to take it out, hang it out to dry and then put it away. Just having the heavy lifting and first part of the process done for me is a huge help.
two: Don’t Sort The rules have changed! Cory’s a serious laundry sorter, through and through. I’m honestly surprised he doesn’t sort each color individually. I’ve always been one to do a “dark load” and a “light load” and I’ve always mixed grays in with the whites. Nope, not on Cory’s watch. Thankfully though, we’ve been able to cut down on the sorting and mix our colors up a bit now that I’ve started buying Purex® No Sort™ laundry detergent with it’s amazing dye-trapping technology. The sorting has been a tough habit for Cory to break, but I’m happy to report he’s doing just fine 😉 And we’re saving on detergent, water, AND time!
three: Don’t Let It Pile Up This is one of the biggest tips I have for those of you frustrated and overwhelmed with your current laundry routine. The best advice I have for you is to not let it pile up. Do a couple loads at a time and start your laundry as soon as that hamper fills up. Don’t let it overflow or you’re going to be pretty bummed when you’re spending an entire day catching up on that laundry. If you do a load or two at a time you’ll be a much happier person, trust me!
four: Don’t Leave it in the Basket This one is especially important for us right now. Since moving to Wisconsin, we’ve been living without a functioning dryer. True story. We don’t have the “luxury” of letting our laundry sit in the basket and popping it back in the dryer to fluff out the wrinkles. Once it’s in the basket, it’s gotta get folded, hung up and put away or we’re stuck with wrinkly clothes! And without the “luxury” of a dryer, we’ve been getting our clothes put away and our laundry done faster and faster! Dare I say it’s almost kind of nice?
five: Do Wash New Clothes Separately Keep in mind, though, especially with new jeans that you want to wash them at least 5 times by themselves or with similar colored clothing prior to using this no-sort technique. While this Purex® No Sort™ laundry detergent is pretty amazing, it can’t stop that pair of brand new jeans from ruining your husband’s white undershirts. But after a few washes, it certainly can!
Laundry doesn’t have to be a pain in the butt. You can live without sorting and expediate the laundry process with these super easy steps! Trust me! You’ll be thanking me later! I found mine for crazy cheap at Walmart! Now get to it + don’t let your laundry intimidate you anymore!

This is seriously amazing! I’m the sorter and Husband is the the throw everything in at once (and when I say everything, I mean literally everything in the washer up to the very top..). I have had way too many color bleed accidents. Thanks for the tip, I’m going to try this out!

I need to check this out, sounds like it’d make life MUCH easier!
When I was in the corporate world, I’d wear one color for the whole week to avoid having to sort! I was single and living by myself, it seemed wasteful to wash so many loads for one person. If only this product was around back then! #client
