Who doesn’t remember jumping through the sprinkler all summer long while growing up? I know I do! It was just about the most exciting thing ever when my dad installed our sprinkler system and we would follow the sprinkler heads through their cycle of watering our lawn. Along with the rest of the neighborhood kids, of course. It was kind of a big deal! I’m so happy to pass on that excitement with Alea. Now, while we don’t have a sprinkler system installed (and I doubt we ever will), I did stumble upon this crazy fun sprinkler hose attachment at Target the other day and I just couldn’t not get it for her!
I’m almost positive I received the coveted “Mother of the Year” award from Alea when she noticed the sprinkler strategically placed on the counter after her nap with daddy.
There are few things in this world that are more freeing than jumping through a sprinkler. Trust me, I had to show Alea how it’s done. I may have been fully clothed with no swim suit in sight, but sometimes you just have to take one for the team. Alea’s giggles as mommy jumped through the sprinkler in her shorts and t-shirt were all worth how soaking wet while I was sitting and watching her afterwards.
You better believe I decided that I, too, deserved my very own Capri Sun!
Little Alea just so happened to get a little scratch on her ankle from the sprinkler. Poor kid! It’s not summer fun without needing to run inside for a band-aid, now is it? A quick kiss and hug from mom, a band-aid, and a second juice pouch and Alea was as good as new and ready to keep playing. Can’t let a little boo-boo hold this girl down, that’s for sure!
The best part about these Capri Sun pouches? They’re totally and completely portable. I always have a couple stashed away in my purse for car rides home from daycare, when Alea works up a thirst playing at the park, and even for myself! The Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters is my personal favorite. It’s more of a flavored water than a juice, but certainly tastier than just plain water. I love that it doesn’t have any artificial colors or flavors and it’s low in calories.
I see so many more sprinkler + Capri Sun days in our future this summer. It’s a fabulous way to beat the heat– especially if you’re like us and don’t have air conditioning. You better believe I’ll be throwing on a suit next time though and joining in on the fun!
