Leading up to our wedding day, I was a wreck. I was trying so hard not to check the weather reports and big part of me was really regretting our decision to have an outdoor ceremony and an almost outdoor reception. As the days went on, the weather was telling us that there would be a 40-50% chance of rain during the time of our ceremony and the chance of rain just continued on through the afternoon and evening. I kept thinking to myself, “I should’ve listened to my gut when we picked our venue. I should’ve listened to that nagging voice in the back of my head that told me an outdoor venue would be too much added stress.”
I’m so glad I decided to ignore that nagging voice inside my head when we began planning our wedding in January. We couldn’t have had a more beautiful wedding day. The sun was shining with just the perfect amount of fluffy white clouds in the sky during our ceremony and the rain held off until around 8:30-9pm.
The venue was absolutely beautiful. It went so perfectly with our “rustic” theme. The grey, the burlap, the yellow, the lace, the chalkboards, and the touches of coral all flowed beautifully together. I’m really happy with how everything turned out in the end! Enough of me talking though, just see for yourself!
Trust me friends, there are plenty more photos coming! Our photographer, Landon Michael Photography did such an amazing job and took so many beautiful photos to help us remember such a beautiful day. It was kind of funny going through some of our photos. They came in batches at a time and there were always a couple photos or details of the wedding that Cory and I didn’t remember at all! It made us even more thankful for these photos and that we had someone to help us record these memories for us!
I hope you can forgive me for this little teaser! I’ll be sharing more in batches each week to give you all a little peek inside one of the most memorable days of our lives! I want to make sure I can record as many of the details as I can remember as well and record a wedding journal of sorts for us to have!
Did you have an outdoor wedding? Were you as nervous as we were about weather?
OMG I love it, it’s making me so excited for my wedding (that is 2 years away LOL), it’s awesome! I’d be so afraid to do an outdoor wedding too many factors I think I would go grey! But it looks beautiful, btw I LOVE LOVE LOVE the chalkboard ! That is adorable! ♥
Our wedding was outdoors as well and it rained the entire week before! Only by the grace of God did it not rain on our day!
They are absolutely gorgeous!
Love it! It looked amazing! I especially love the pick a seat not a side sign. 🙂

The wedding team was very supportive. They helped us put together a great menu, from the consultation to the tasting to the actual event.
