I was invited to be a brand representative for Ragú® and have been compensated for this post for SocialStars. All opinions are my own. #NewTraDish
It’s always the same. I peer into the cupboards around that noon o’clock hour and dig through our freezer with microwavable meals peering right back at me. It’s either that or make a sandwich. It just gets old, you know?I need a little fun and excitement in my lunch time routine, especially when I’m home and not working. I need something yummy… something to look forward to when my stomach starts to growl.
Enter this delicious + easy recipe. It was inspired by two different classic Ragú® recipes actually– Chunky Gardenstyle Pizza and Olive Lover’s Pasta. It was kind of fun to take two different recipes and create my own little spin on them to make it my very own. And let me tell you– my lunches at home are no longer boring, that’s for sure!
001. Whole wheat tortillas
002. Ragú® Chunky Mushroom sauce
003. Shredded mozzarella cheese
004. 1 small can of sliced black olives
005. 1 cup of mushrooms
006. 1 cup of pepperoni
001. Layer your tortilla with Ragú® Chunky Mushroom sauce, mozzarella cheese, black olives, mushrooms, pepperoni and a final layer of mozzarella cheese.
002. Stick in the oven at 350 degrees for 5-10 min just until the tortilla starts to crisp and the cheese begins to melt.
003. Remove and enjoy!
I dare you to try and wait until it cools to take a bite so you don’t burn the roof of your mouth.
Or am I the only one who has trouble with that?
I’m all for easy recipe ideas, or as Alea would say, “Easy peasy lemon squeezie!” There’s nothing I hate more than spending hours upon hours slaving away in the kitchen just to make a meal. It’s just not going to happen. I have zero time or patience for that. Hence why I’m so thankful for easy recipes like this one and the others I share on this here blog of mine. A delicious meal shouldn’t have to take hours to prepare– I know we’re all much too busy for that!
