On a typical day I’m rushed out the door and hopping in my freezing cold car around 5:45am. Mind you, that’s typically after wrestling my 4-year-old out of bed, into her outfit for the day and attempting to make her look presentable for daycare. It’s typically a struggle and leaves me chugging my coffee on the drive into work hoping that I’m feeling even a little bit more awake when I get to work than I do in that very moment. Okay, so maybe I’m being a bit dramatic, but forgive me if I’d truly like to savor my morning cup of coffee!
I like my coffee far too much to just let it go to waste like that and trust me, I make sure to truly savor my cup of coffee on my days off. Here’s a little peak at what those sacred days look like:
On this particular day, I woke up around 7:00am and had the hardest time falling back asleep. Alea wasn’t awake yet, so I decided to sneak downstairs and start my day off in the peacefulness of our quiet home. It’s not very often that the house is so quiet, so I decided that I’d better take advantage of it– it was likely to be a short-lived quiet!
I fired up my Keurig after grabbing my computer and my planner and made myself a fresh cup of coffee from the new McCafé pods. I typically add my creamer in first (it’s just a habit of mine), but this morning I decided to leave my creamer out and stirred it in last. Is it just me or are the swirls of creamer being stirred in so, so beautiful?
After stirring in my creamer and getting my cup of coffee ready (the most important part of my mornings off), I settled into a big comfy chair in my nice fuzzy slippers with a soft, fleece blanket and began to think of all of the things I wished to accomplish that day.
It’s not very often that I really get to sit down and think of what I need to get done in a single day. It’s usually me, running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to keep up with this, that and the other thing– so sipping my liquid motivation in the quiet of the morning helped tremendously to organize my day.
Now if only everyday could start off like that! (Am I right?)
I’m so happy to share with you that McCafé coffee is now available in pods and ground coffee form. You choose how you’d like to brew your morning coffee! They have 8 varieties of flavors to choose from and this coffee is made from 100% Arabica beans. You will absolutely love it– I know I did!
If you’re interested in the new McCafé pods, then you should check it out and see if a Walmart store near you is having an in-store demo so you can try the pods for yourself!
