I am forever and ever looking for yummy, delicious, and easy recipes to make for my family on busy weeknights or lazy weekends. My Pinterest boards are overwhelmed and overflowing with recipe ideas both healthy and otherwise and you should see all of the tabs that fill the outer edges of my cookbooks. It’s almost silly! However, I don’t take feeding my family lightly. I want to keep things interesting while also keeping myself sane. That’s why I do a lot of twists on the original with my recipe– that way if we have tacos one night two weeks in a row, I can mix it up and change it so it doesn’t really feel like the same thing. You catch my drift? Enter: Goldfish crackers.
001. Goldfish crackers
002. Cherry tomatoes, halved
003. Lettuce, shredded
004. Avocado, diced
005. Beef, ground
006. Taco seasoning
007. Shredded cheese
008. Sour cream
009. Taco sauce
Side note: Goldfish crackers are currently on rollback at Walmart– I was so excited to stock-up on them while they were on sale!
This is such a fun “recipe” to make and it might even be an “un-recipe” because it really doesn’t require instructions. All you really need to do is set-up a little Goldfish crackers taco bar and your family members can pick and choose what they want in their taco bowl. I love how easy it is to customize and offer a variety of delicious and healthy toppings to accompany the Goldfish crackers. You can add all the toppings or just a few of each– either way you’ll create a delicious bowl of Goldfish taco goodness.
So if you’re looking to mix up your usual weekly rotation of tacos, I suggest adding some Goldfish crackers goodness and letting your family pick and choose the toppings for their taco bowls. You’ll hear no whining and no complaining– because everyone will be able to customize their own dinner! It’s really genius. I swear!
What’s your favorite taco topping?
