Valor is the second Young Living essential oil that I use most frequently. I mainly use it in conduction with Joy to ease my mild anxiety symptoms. Valor is a blend of the following: Fractionated coconut oil, Spruce, Rosewood, Blue Tansy, and Frankincense. All of which combined help elevate the mind and help you to overcome stress. I mean, what could be better than that, right?
According to the “Essential Oils Pocket Reference 6th Edition,” “This blend was formulated to balance energies and instill courage, confidence, and self esteem. It helps the body self-correct its balance and alignment” (Young, 182). Side note: If you’re using Young Living essential oils and don’t have this book yet, I highly recommend getting it. It’s such a powerful resource to have right at your fingertips and helps you to use your essential oils to their fullest potential and safely!
— I apply Valor over my heart and Joy on my wrists when I’m feeling particularly anxious. The scents of both combined are so calming to me that I almost crave them now!
— Just recently I applied 1 drop of Valor + coconut oil on Alea’s feet before swimming lessons. She’s sometimes a little hesitant to jump in, especially now that they’re encouraging them to jump into the pool without their teacher catching them. On this particular day, she was so much braver! She still reached for her teacher’s hands, but wow! What a difference!
— Diffuse 2-3 drops in your diffuser.
— This blend is one of my favorites to diffuse when I’m feeling particularly stressed or trying to get a lot done around the house. It makes me feel invincible– but not in the sense that I’d jump of a bridge because I’d think I could fly or something. Don’t worry!
Tips for Using Valor:
— Although it is made with fractionated coconut oil, I recommend also diluting it with V-6 Vegetable Oil, grape seed oil or coconut oil. When diluting, it all depends on your personal preference.
— Diluting your oils is especially important with young children and the elderly. Their skin is much more sensitive than our own and can cause some irritation if applied neat.
