Okay, I need to start this out by saying that my little Alea is so sweet and always so willing to help mommy out with blog photos. If I’m wearing a particularly cute outfit on any given day she asks me if I need my picture taken to put it on my blog. (Oh these poor children of bloggers!) This time around she was using a bigger lens, my 50mm 1.8 and she’s typically used to shooting with my 40mm 2.8 as of late. My nifty fifty made my camera a little heavier and harder for her to hold. Lesson learned.
Needless to say, these aren’t the best photos that have ever graced this here blog.
But you know what? I love them all the same. My sweet little girl loves to use mommy’s camera. She not only loves to take photos, but she also likes to be helpful– which is exactly what she was trying to do here. They’re a little crooked, a little off center and a little blurry, but she made these. She did her absolute best and she was so, so proud of herself.
Sometimes I don’t like what I see when I look in the mirror and I’m not really sure who that person is looking back at me. With these photos though? I’ve never felt more beautiful. This is how I look in the eyes of my one and only daughter. This is how she sees her mom.
And I’ve never, ever felt more beautiful.
