I don’t even want to admit to you how many apps I’ve downloaded on our iPad mini for Alea. It’s an outrageous amount. I’ve always been looking for the best learning apps and I really pride myself on being able to find some really fabulous ones! We’ve downloaded plenty though and deleted plenty as well. Even with the learning apps I’ve downloaded, I’ve been worried that the extra screen time would stifle Alea’s creativity and imagination. We’re just in a digital age now. We expect things to happen at the snap of our fingers and that can cause impatience when it comes to trying new things and working on our creative side. You know what I mean?
That’s where these two apps from Disney come into play. Let me explain a little bit about each of them.
Disney Imagicademy: This app is for us parents. It’s an app that essentially helps us get ideas to be more creative and imaginative with our little ones. It answers the question “What can I do today to help my child grow?” It hosts daily articles and activity ideas! It’s also the parent-portal behind the kid’s apps Mickey’s Magical Math World and Mickey’s Magical Arts World. Through this app you can see the progress your child’s making in those two apps and also see their most recent creations. Such a useful tool!
Mickey’s Magical Arts World: This app is designed for little ones ages 5 and under. This app is perfect for igniting imagination and creativity in your little ones through storytelling, design, rhythm, music and so much more! All with their favorite Disney characters– of course!
Alea has been begging for me to add a little bit more time to her “screen time” allowance and with a fun and creative app like Mickey’s Magical Arts World, I really don’t feel too bad doing so! I’ve noticed Alea drawing more on her own and doodling more and more lately and it just makes my heart so happy. I love that this app has helped bring out her creative spirit + I hope those sweet little drawings she creates for me never stop coming!
