We’re all about easy, fun crafts here on Sunny with a Chance of Sprinkles. I’ve mentioned it before, but I’ll mention it again, spending intentional time with your little doesn’t have to cost a lot of money or involve some intricate project. It can be as easy as snuggling them on the couch or sitting at the kitchen table and coloring with them. That’s why I love sharing these fun little activities on my blog. I love empowering other mama’s out there to spend a little extra time with their littles through easy, fun and inexpensive crafts like this one!
Now gather these supplies (you’ll likely have them all on hand already) and make these adorable Valentine’s Heart Sun Catchers! Your kiddo will thank you!
+ Coffee Filters
+ Spray Bottle
+ Let your little go to town coloring and scribbling all over a coffee filter folded in half. Color as many as you please!
+ Lay your colored coffee filters on a paper or plastic plate and spray them till they’re soaked thoroughly.
+ Let them dry over night.
+ Cut the corner off one end and make a rounded edge.
+ Unfold to reveal your heart!
+ Tape up in a window and stand back to enjoy your artwork!
I have a feeling these hearts will stay up in Alea’s play room window long past Valentine’s day and that she’ll be begging me to make more any day now. Such a easy craft, but it’s one of her absolute favorites. Good thing I have lots of coffee filters on hand that need to get used up! If you gave up your coffee pot for a Keurig, chances are you have lots of coffee filters around that need to get used up, too.
