Taking photos of my Alea Lou has always been a huge priority of mine. I giggle when I look back at photos of her from when she was a baby because I have literally hundred of photos of her with the exact same expression in the exact same position. I was just frightened that if I didn’t capture every second of her life that it would some how go by even faster.
And oh my goodness does that seem silly now that I’m saying it “out loud”.
But it’s so true. I just want to remember everything. I literally don’t think I’ve put my camera down or taken that lens off of her the entire time she’s been in my life. I just can’t help but snap away, what can I say! (I’m a poet and I didn’t even know it!)
While I’ve taken hundreds and hundreds and probably thousands and thousands of pictures of Alea and of our family, I still have yet to get a majority of them printed. It’s the one thing about digital photography that literally drives me crazy. And it’s one thing that I NEED to get better about. (I can’t be the only one with this problem, can I?)
Until then, though, I’ll just be snapping away on my new FujiFilm Instax camera. Instant gratification is my kind of thing. I love that immediately after I snap the photo, it immediately prints out of the camera. All I have to do is maintain enough patience while it develops– literally before my eyes. These cameras are too cool for words.
And guess what? I want to bless one of you with the magical instant gratification that the FujiFilm Instax Mini 90 provides– all wrapped up into one gorgeously vintage camera design. You know you want one!
Are you good about getting your photos printed or are you like me and just let them sit in the external hard drive?
