If there’s anything I love, it’s a fresh and healthy salad. I love feeling good about what I’m eating and what I’m putting into my body, but sometimes that’s next to impossible to do when you’re always on-the-go or eating out frequently. You just never know what you’re eating and it’s sometimes a struggle to find something decently healthy on the menu.
I can imagine that you may have not realized this yet, but this salad is actually from Wendy’s!
This salad includes warm grilled chicken over a bed of romaine and iceberg lettuce and is topped with red and green apples, blue cheese, cranberries and roasted pecans. Add the packet of pomegranate vinaigrette and your taste buds will be on cloud nine– seriously! The dressing is to die for!
According to Wendy’s, Wendy’s Apple Pecan Chicken Salad marries the crisp refreshing snap of ripe red and green apples with the delectable crunch of roasted pecans. This springtime splendor harmonizes sweet and savory throughout with delicious cranberries and creamy blue cheese crumbles topped with Marzetti® Simply Dressed® Pomegranate Vinaigrette.
No, I’m not kidding you. Wendy’s does make fresh salads. And trust me, there’s a huge difference between “fresh” and “freshly assembled.” Their salads aren’t made from frozen already chopped up lettuce. They do all of the chopping and dicing with fresh ingredients in their restaurant. And that’s important– especially when you’ve got a palette for freshness like I do!
If you want to see just how fresh these Wendy’s salads get, then you should check out this informational video on the Romaine Lettuce Journey. It’s amazing all of the thought that goes into their salads!
I think the next salad I’m going to try is definitely the Asian Cashew Chicken Salad for Wendy’s. It looks and sounds decadent and delicious!
