(That first image has to be my favorite picture that I’ve ever taken. Ever.)
I took these photos last spring when we were living at Cory’s dad’s house. That pretty little mama robin made her nest in a rose bush on one end of his front porch. It was the perfect location for us to keep an eye on the eggs, peak in on the mama, and peak in on the babies when they hatched. We even got to see mama feeding the babies a worm!
I was reminded of these photos (that kind of just sat on my camera’s SD card over the summer, fall and winter untouched), when we saw a robin making a nest in the tree outside the window of our living room at our new house.
It was the perfect little reminder that despite all the craziness in our life, there is consistency as well. It reminded me to be more observant and look for little things throughout my day that bring me and my family joy. It’s so easy to get stuck in a rut and just go thorough the motions of the day without really taking the time to be in the moment and be completely thankful for that moment and all of the blessing you’ve been given in that day.
May your troubles be less and your blessings be more. And nothing but happiness come through your door.
Make today amazing, friends!
