It’s been a while since I wrote out all the things that are making me all happy and warm and fuzzy inside. It’s just my little way of recognizing the things that are around me and how thankful I am for them. It can seem a little “materialistic” I suppose, but I am thankful for all of the “things” as well as the people and the experiences in my life, too.
That being said, here are a few “things” that I’m loving and think that you might love, too.
one | My new Ray-Bans. This is what happens when I lose my $20 American Eagle sunglasses in Los Angeles… I just buy a new more expensive pair. Because spending more money on them obviously means I won’t be irresponsible and lose these, too, right? (I don’t understand my thought process sometimes). Usually I’m a little bit pickier when it comes to sunglasses, but I honestly hopped on the internet, found these sunnies and bought them on Amazon so I could get my free 2-day shipping. They were probably the 2nd pair of sunglasses I looked at. They came, I tried them on, and I’m in love. And we lived happily ever after. The end.
two | Chobani yogurt and I have always had a bit of a love affair. We see each other at the grocery store, our eyes meet and I bring a whole bunch of them home with me. It’s like we’re meant to be or something. And then they go and make a “salted caramel” variety and I can’t even hide my love and affection anymore. Delish… straight up.
three | I’ve been carrying around business cards with my old last name on them and my old blog logo on them for more than a year now. I think that means I’m quite overdue for a new card. So on a whim, I whipped these up and now I basically just give them to anyone who asks me about my blog. And yes I may have given them to the vet and the pediatric resident I sat next to on the plane from Los Angeles to Chicago. That’s normal, right?
four | Writing as always been a passion of mine. I’d lie if I didn’t tell you that sometimes my blog makes writing feel like “work.” It just does. Sometimes I don’t feel like writing and so I neglect this little space of mine. I’m hoping this book helps me get back to the roots of writing again and why I fell in love with writing in the first place.
five | I literally drink one of these every single morning at work. It’s my breakfast and I’m quite obsessed. I’ve tried all the flavors and I’m head over heals in love with them all. Cappuccino though? Let’s be real. This coffee-obsessed chick is madly in love with this protein shake.
What are you loving these days?
