Oh summer, it’s such a beautiful and sunny time of year, isn’t it? The perfect weather here in Wisconsin to spend countless hours outside, going for walks and spending time with the family. It’s only a couple of months out of the year that we get to enjoy such beautiful weather, so you’d think I’d enjoy it to it’s fullest, right? Wrong. My allergies have been in full-swing and with that comes a little more difficulty sleeping at night due to nasal congestion and just general stuffiness.
It’s not just me, either. Poor Cory has been sneezing up a storm and even Miss Alea has the sniffles as well. We love summer, don’t get us wrong, but right now we don’t love how it’s making us feel!
Thankfully, I have Breathe Right® nasal strips on my side and on my nightstand! I don’t know why I didn’t put two and two together until now, but I use these for cold and flu season in the winter, why wouldn’t I use them for allergy season in the spring and summer, too?
I love that they have ones infused with lavender as well. I love the calm lavender scent!
In addition to using Breathe Right® nasal strips to help me breathe better at night, I’m also using my essential oils to help me sleep better at night as well. I’m sure you’ve all seen these oils popping up all over the Internet, but they’ve really been a lifesaver for me. Cedarwood and lavender are my go-to oils for diffusing at night to help me sleep. Even Alea requests them at bedtime!
All in all, I’m sleeping and breathing so much better with these little “tricks” in action and I’m much more ready to cease the day and enjoy the outdoors when I wake-up in the morning!
