Have you ever just sat down and thought about all of the things that drive you absolutely berserk? That’s what car-rides to work are for. I was just thinking the other day on my way to work while I was listening to a particularly annoying debate on NPR, about all of the things that drive me absolutely crazy. I’ll spare you a bit though, because trust me, there are far more than just 5 things that drive me crazy and I don’t want to take up too much of your time. Because that’s just annoying. (Haha… get it?)
one | When People Put Toilet Paper Under instead of Over: If you do this and I visit your home, I will take your toilet paper off of the roll and flip it around because it bugs me that much. If it’s over, you don’t have to do a whole lot of searching to find the end of the roll. You just give a gentle spin and BAM! you have toilet paper. Side note: Alea put the toilet paper on the roll for the first time ever about a week ago and she put it on under instead of over. I was so proud that she did it on her own, though, I didn’t have the heart to change it!
two | Unmoved Hangers: This one is a little tricky to describe, but I’ll do my best. When I’m picking out Alea’s clothes and I find a shirt I like, I take the hanger and the shirt off of the bar, remove the shirt from the hanger and then place the hanger back on the rod with the other EMPTY hangers. When Cory picks out Alea’s clothes he rips the shirt right off the hanger like a damn savage and just leaves the hanger in amongst the other clothes. Then when it comes time for me to put clothes away I’m fishing through all of her clothes to find hangers! Oh my goodness does this irk me!
three | Driving: Talk about broad, eh? I did that on purpose because so many things drive me crazy when it comes to driving. People who forget to turn their blinker off, people who drive 5 miles per hour below the speed limit, people who use their brake far too often (why not just let up on the gas?), and people who are unable to go a consistent speed. The list could go on and on and on, but my friends, sharing the road with a bunch of bozos is enough to drive anyone crazy.
four | People Who Stop Their Cart in the Middle of an Aisle: Ya’ll, when I grocery shop, I grocery shop. I don’t mess around. I go in with a list, a plan of action, and I’m ready to cruise through the aisles, get what I need and then get the heck out of there. Other people? They like to take their time. They like to park their cart in the middle of the aisle and stare mindlessly at the bread. THE BREAD? Don’t you just buy the same kind of bread each week? Get that kind! You know you like it! What’s there to question?
five | People Who Don’t Supervise Their Children: Maybe I’m a little to overprotective, but I’m all about adequate supervision when it comes to my child. I don’t believe in letting her roam the neighborhood on her own and I let her know that it’s not polite to play in other people’s yards without their permission. Every other child in our neighborhood? Yeah, we’ll just say they aren’t brought up the same way. Their parents just tend to shoo them out of the house in their socks to go ride their bike without a helmet and play with the neighbor’s hose. Either watch your children or teach them the polite way to do things, will ya people?
Uffda! Thanks for listening to me rant a little bit. But seriously, somethings just get on my nerves. I can’t be alone in this can I?
