I don’t know who gets less face time on this here blog: Cory or Bentley! Which is surprising, because both of them get into all kind of crazy shenanigans both together and apart! Poor Bentley, though. He has kind of gotten the short end of the stick the past year or so through moving and living at Cory’s dad’s house for a period of time. He’s finally starting to become acclimated to our new home and being more apart of our family. He deserves a blog post devoted all to him after all of this time and after how sweet he’s been lately!
Now he’s getting more attention and more love and I’m just amazed with how much more well-behaved he’s become as well. We can even trust him to sleep in the living room, rather than in his kennel now! For the first couple years of his life, I didn’t think that would ever be a possibility!
In addition to spending more time with the family, sleeping in the living room, and going for more walks, Bentley is also eating much better than he was before. We’ve slowly introduced Rachael Ray Nutrish Zero Grain pet food into his diet and he’s been an even happier pup. His coat has even been smoother and more vibrant– now if only he would shed less!
Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Zero Grain™ Beef with Bison Recipe is made of only simple ingredients, is grain free, and US farm raised beef. No grains, gluten, or fillers are present in this food and it also contains no preservatives or unnatural colors or flavors. Boy oh boy is Bentley spoiled!
He even liked it so much, he didn’t even need a bowl! Does any one else’s dog do that? Pick-up their food in their mouth, drop it on the ground and then eat it off the floor? It seems like there’s just some unnecessary steps if you ask me!
The way I see it, if I’m worried about what I put into my body and what I feed my family, Bentley is part of our family as well and I should therefore be concerned about what we put in his body as well. I want our Bentley to stick around with us as long as possible (now that he’s not eating my flip-flops and having accidents all over the house) and I’m hoping feeding him a healthier, more wholesome diet will do just that!

Have you tried this dog food before?
How do you show your dog they’re part of the family, too?
I haven’t tried that food before but he is sooo adorable! Our dog pretty much is our child, even gets dropped off at someones house so she isn’t alone all day. 🙂
Such a handsome boy!
Beautiful boy! I work at a dot daycare/boarding/grooming facility in Chicago and they offer de-shedding for dogs which helps remove the dead undercoat to help them shed less. It’s super helpful for short haired dogs like labs. You should see if anyone in your area offers that.
