Alea has been dancing and shaking her groove thing ever since I can remember. I remember drinking my one coffee each day when I was pregnant and then laying on the couch afterwards just to watch my belly jump, shake, and dance. She was dancing before she was even born! And now at the age of five, she’s dancing more and more– she just can’t be stopped!
I remember a few years ago now when Alea played Just Dance Disney for the first time. She wasn’t old enough to use the remote yet, but she would put on the craziest of costumes and dance all around the living room. At one point she was in her underwear, rain boots, a long sleeved shirt under a puffy grey vest with sunglasses and she wore an easter basket as a backpack. It was hilarious! We have so many fond memories of playing Just Dance Disney together, I be you can only imagine how excited Alea was when she found out about Just Dance Disney Party 2!
She loves dancing and singing along to her favorite Disney show songs. Her favorite songs of course are any of the ones from Liv and Maddie– her absolute favorite Disney Channel TV show! Other great songs are from The Descendents and Teen Beach 2.
I love that it’s not just a sit down and play for hours at a time kind of video game. This game encourages kids to get up off their rumps and dance their little hearts out. It encourages physical activity as well as creativity and I don’t mind letting Alea play at all! She has an absolute blast. I love grabbing the second Wii remote and dancing right along side her, too. It’s a great way for me to boost my heart rate and get moving as well!
Now she knows how to use the remote and she doesn’t dress in outrageous costumes to dance along anymore, but boy does she have a good time. Now that she’s older, she’s also much more into perfecting her dance moves to make sure she’s earning points. Heck, she’s even beat me a few times! That little stinker!
Have your kids played Just Dance Disney Party 2 yet?
