Fa La La La La, La La La La!
You guys, I’m just so ready for Christmas. I need a little joy, a little music and a little twinkle in my life right now and I’m so thankful that Christmas has come at the absolute most perfect time this year. Sure, it’s a little sad it’s yet another month without a baby on the way, but the joy in Alea’s eyes on Christmas morning and all the magic that comes along with the holiday season will be a huge, wonderful, very welcome distraction!
This year we decorated very, how should I say this, gradually. In all honesty, we didn’t even know where our ornaments were for the tree (or where Alea’s Elf on the Shelf) was until about a week ago. Oops! I guess that’s just what happens when you move into a new place the week of Christmas last year and then moved our belongings from Minnesota to Wisconsin when we finally sold our home.
We finally found them, though, and the Christmas decor was finally complete!
This year, I’ve also grown to love wrapping presents. I think it’s all those fun little gift-wrapping accessories I’ve found in the Target Dollar Spot. Anyone else fall victim to all their fun and inexpensive trinkets? Just sitting down to wrap gifts that I’ve carefully chosen for the recipient and wrapping them with love and pretty coordinating wrapping paper and adorable gift tags? It just makes my heart sing! I never used to have the patience for this tedious task, but I’ve really fallen in love with it!
I just love the magic of this season, don’t you? I’m hoping next year for Christmas we’ll be in our forever home, but I’m trying not to get ahead of ourselves, here. It’s crazy, though, to think that this is our 3rd house we’ve been in for Christmas! We’re wanderers, that’s for sure!
Do you love or despise wrapping presents?
