Ever since I chopped off all my hair two years ago, I’ve been absolutely paranoid when it comes to getting hair cuts, getting my hair trimmed, and I’ve been growing my hair ever since. I loved the short ‘do at first, but after a while I just really, really missed my long locks. I’m finally back to the length my hair was before I cut off 12” and now I’m working my hardest to maintain my hairs health as much as possible.
Having long hair, keeping hair healthy during the long periods between hair trims can be a struggle—a really big struggle! You know what else can be a struggle? Keeping the color in your hair! I recently dyed my hair super dark and making the color stay put to minimize the time between hair dyes has been a struggle as well.
That is, until I discovered John Frieda’s Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Deeper™ Colour Deepening Shampoo and Conditioner. This shampoo and conditioner literally tints your hair and helps you to keep your color longer! I bought mine at Walgreens because with the Walgreens Balance Rewards card you can buy the shampoo and get the conditioner for 50% off (until 1/30/16)! Can’t beat that! I love how convenient it is to just swing on in to Walgreens, grab what you need, swipe your Balance Rewards card, save some money, and be on with your day! It’s fabulous!
1. ½ avocado
2. 1 tablespoon of honey
1. Mix avocado and honey together.
2. Massage into hair from roots to ends.
3. Let sit for 20-30 minutes.
4. Wash out in the shower and wash hair with John Frieda’s Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Deeper™ Colour Deepening Shampoo and Conditioner to infuse your hair with deeper color.
Avocado is known for it’s healthy fats but it also contains proteins and vitamins A, D, E and B6 as well as magnesium, folic acid, copper and iron—all of which are great for making your hair look and feel healthier and softer. Honey attracts moisture and therefore is great for helping your hair to absorb the oils in the avocado! Isn’t science fun?
