I almost feel a little guilty saying this, but my morning routine has gotten so much easier since Alea started school. Some of you may be scratching your head and thinking, “What do you mean? There’s a backpack to pack, a lunch to pack, homework to remember, you name it!” Well, I’m just about the luckiest lady because I actually don’t have to worry about that! Since Cory works in town, he’s in charge of getting Alea ready and dropped off at school every morning and I’m so eternally grateful for that! On the mornings I have off and I bring Alea into school I realize how much work goes into getting that little 5 1/2 year old girl ready for school each day. Uffda, it’s exhausting!
Thankfully, my morning routine is pretty basic. I wake-up and walk sleepy-eyed into the shower (unless I showered the night before) and do all I can to get ready and not look like I just rolled right out of bed! (This can take a little more time some mornings!) Next, I get my lunch packed and my things gathered. And then I’ll make my tea or coffee– whichever I’m craving that morning. Lately it’s been a lot of tea!
Then it’s on to my long 30-minute drive to work where I usually decide between the radio, Pandora, a podcast, or one of the many country CDs I have in my car. Although I don’t love the distance or the amount of time it takes me to get to work, I do love that I can just listen to whatever I want and zone out a little.
Something I’ve always struggled with that I’m trying my very hardest to improve on is to eat breakfast more often. I’m never hungry before I leave the house, but my stomach starts growling shortly after I get to work. I’ve been loving oatmeal and yogurt lately, but always find myself debating between the two. Well, now I can have both at the same time!
Have you tried these Yoplait Plenti oatmeal and greek yogurt cups? They’re simply delicious. I love the added texture and the high protein! It gets my day off to a great start so I can really focus on patient care! Mmm! You’ve got to try them!
What does your morning routine look like?
Have you tried Yoplait Plenti yet?
