Overnight Oats are something I’ve been wanting to try making for the longest time now. I’ve seen so many variations all over Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest that finally I’m making the time to try it out! And boy oh boy, it did not disappoint! I made mine in small mason jars so that I could easily grab them on my way out the door for work and they made such an easy breakfast to eat during our daily morning meetings. This is definitely something I’m going to make again and again and again, that’s for sure!
Today I’ll share with you the Honey Banana Peanut Butter Overnight Oats I made, but there’s so many ways to swap out ingredients and add your own spin. I love “recipes” like that because you can change them to your taste, to what your craving, and to what’s healthiest!
1. Rolled oats
3. Chia seeds
4. Vanilla Greek Yogurt
5. Peanut Butter
1. Fill each jar halfway with rolled oats. Add 1tsp of chia seeds.
2. Fill the jars with enough milk to cover the oats.
3. Add peanut butter and honey with slices of bananas to taste.
4. Add 1 heaping spoonful of vanilla Greek yogurt.
5. Top with extra banana slices and add a drizzle of honey to the top.
I’m not really one for measurements usually, so just bare with me here. I really juste eyeballed the amount I was putting into each jar and they turned out just right! (But maybe I just got lucky!)
See what I mean? It’s just about the easiest breakfast recipes and you make them ahead of time, so they’re the perfect grab and go breakfast as well! Trust me, I leave myself minutes to spare in the morning and if I had to choose between sleeping in or eating breakfast, I’m pretty sure you can guess which one I would choose. So breakfast needs to be quick and crazy easy. Not only are these quick and crazy easy, but they’re actually healthy, too! The best of both worlds, my friends, the best of both worlds!
