I’m notoriously known for forgetting things whenever we go on a road trip. It never fails. I could literally make my list weeks in advance, gradually pack, and leave myself plenty of time to remember all of the essentials and things we might need and I’ll still forget something. The funniest part of it is, I always remember what that thing is as soon as we hit the highway. It’s like the open road offers me that moment of clarity I needed and BAM! I’m I scrambling to think of the nearest Walmart to where we are going so I can pick up what I forgot!
Please tell me I’m not the only one!
One thing I’ve learned, though, is that all auto maintenance can and should be done before leaving for any trip. Sure, I’ve gone a little longer than I should have between oil changes, but if I’m planning to go out of town and taking my vehicle any distance, I absolutely make sure to run through Walmart quick to get my oil changed! If Cory’s taught me anything in our 7 years together, it’s that!
I just recently took my 2008 Ford Escape in to Walmart’s Automotive Care Center for a quick oil change. I opted for the Pennzoil® High Mileage Vehicle® oil because my car’s pushing 125,000 miles. It’s so hard to believe, I feel like I just got her yesterday! It was perfect, though, because this specific oil is currently on Rollback from $39.88 to $35.88. Anytime I can save a few bucks, especially when it comes to auto care, I’m completely sold!
I love that this oil helps to clear out the sludge that lesser oils leave behind and is designed specifically to care for vehicles with more miles on them. I rely on this oil to keep my engine clean and my car running smoothly.
And get this? When you get your oil changed at Walmart, you can also shop for your road trip or any household essentials or groceries you might need! I love multi-tasking!
Always, always, always double and triple check to makes sure that your car is road-ready before you hit the road this summer for any summer vacations or getaways. It’s so much better to have that peace of mind and it’s certainly better than being stranded in an unfamiliar location with car troubles!
