Alea starts first grade in t-minus 7 days. I can hardly believe it! Is it just me or did this summer completely fly by in the blink of an eye? We’ve got our school supplies ready, we almost have all of the clothes that she will need for the year… unless she decides to surprise me with a crazy growth spurt again like she did last year… and now I just need to purchase some more containers to pack her lunches in.
The one thing that completely changed our school shopping this year is the fact that I used the PayPal app so much more. I don’t know why I didn’t think to use it years prior because I’ve had a PayPal account since I started this blogging endeavor what feels like eons ago, but I’m so happy that I decided to go that route this year.
We were even able to grab a few extra pretty and cute school supplies to keep at home in Alea’s new little homework corner in her room. She got the desk and chair from Cory’s mom for her birthday last year and it makes the perfect little space for her to sit down and do her homework, store her notebooks and pencils and she loves that it’s in front of her window so she can see outside and have natural light while she “works.”
Using the PayPal One Touch option while I was shopping all of the back-to-school sales with various PayPal merchants, I was able to use the balance I have in my PayPal account, use an attached checking account or use my PayPal credit account. It’s so slick! I actually find myself getting angry when a website doesn’t offer PayPal as a payment option. I know I’m not alone in that! I love it because I don’t have to run and go grab my debit or credit card to type in all of those numbers that I can never seem to memorize and I can even stay logged into PayPal so I don’t have to log-in each time I make a purchase on a different sight. Talk about convenient!
If you’ve still got back-to-school shopping to to do makes sure you visit paypal.com/backtoschool for some awesome back-to-school deals from PayPal merchants and save some money!
And by utilizing PayPal during this back-to-school season, you can even help give back! You can donate to the PayPal Giving Fund directly through the PayPal app as well as on their website. You can select the charity you donate to and donating is so incredibly easy! A few examples of charities you can donate to include Let Girls Learn, YMCA, and Boys and Girls Club of America. To learn more about donating to the PayPal Giving Fund, visit paypal.com/givenow.
I’ve already been warning Alea that now that she’s in 1st grade she might be getting more homework than she did in kindergarten. I don’t think she realizes that I might be telling the truth!
