I think Alea has officially jumped on the smoothie and protein shake bandwagon. I mean, who could blame her really. They’re the easiest, most convenient meal and snack! And I don’t mind her new found obsession one bit considering I can sneak a fruit or vegetable or two in there for her and she won’t even know the difference. It’s like a mom’s greatest victory to get her picky little eater to eat something green or with actual nutrients. (Am I right? I know you picky-eater mamas are with me!)
We recently fell in love with OLLY Smoothies— both of us actually! I’ve been taking OLLY’s prenatal vitamins for my entire pregnancy and Alea loves their children’s multivitamin. When I found out they had protein powder, too, I immediately had to try them! It’s a fully-loaded nutritional powder you can mix with water, almond milk, coconut milk, and whatever fruits or veggies you fancy.
No matter how you make it, I guarantee you your creation will turn out delicious! Sometimes I get fancy on the weekend and chop up some fruits and vegetables to blend a smoothie, but when I’m flying out the door on my way to work, I just toss a couple scoops in my shaker bottle and I’m good to go!
Alea’s favorite way to drink her OLLY Smoothie mix is with this recipe below. Your kiddo will love it as well, but trust me, you’ll be stealing sips when they’re not looking!
1. 1-scoop of OLLY Kids Smoothie in “Chipper Chocolate”
2. 1 banana, sliced
3. 1-scoop of peanut better
4. 8-10oz of milk or water
Combine the above ingredients and blend until smooth.
Bonus Tip: If you freeze the bananas beforehand, it makes a nice icy, cold treat!
See what I mean? She loves it! And I’m just over here doing a happy dance in the corner because I know she’s getting all of the nutrients she needs to grow big and strong and do all of those crazy cartwheels and somersaults she loves so much!

The Chipper Chocolate is Alea’s favorite and my personal favorite is the Salted Caramel Chocolate Slim Smoothie– it’s full of protein and anything salted caramel has my heart… let’s face it! We both switch of drinking the Peachy Mango when we need a little fruity flavor in our lives and it makes the perfect breakfast smoothie. Mmm Mmm good!
