When it comes to beauty, personal care, and baby products I’m all about having a product that can do multiple things. I just don’t have the time, space, or energy to deal with 2349 products that each only have one specific use. You know what I mean, right? Just think apple cider vinegar? It cleanses my pores AND I use it in several recipes. That’s my kind of product!
Another one of those products for us is JOHNSON’S ® Baby Oil. We use it on the areas of Mckenna’s skin that are prone to dry patches during these dry winter months, but we also use it for many other things as well.
one | DIY lip scrub: Just mix a little JOHNSON’S ® Baby Oil with brown sugar in a small jar until it’s a paste-y consistency. Rub a small amount on your lips every night before bed for smooth, supple lips. This is a must during winter when our lips get so dry from the elements.
two | paint remover: I’m basically the messiest when it comes to painting and doing arts & crafts with Alea. Sometimes it’s a toss-up as to who has more paint on their hands, her or me! It’s kind of ridiculous. But did you know that baby oil can gently remove paint from your skin? It honestly works like a charm! And it also works great for getting rid of those pesky temporary tattoos. You know, when those little specks hang around long after the design is gone? That drives me nuts!
three | necklace detangler: Seriously! All you have to do is rub a little baby oil on the tangle and it with help to lubricate and loosen up the knot. Continue to work at it, twisting and gently untying, and before you know it you’ll have a wearable necklace or two again.
It also works like a charm for wiggling off a stuck ring. I had to use this trick when I was pregnant with Mckenna because my rings got stuck. Such a scary feeling when that happens!
four | make-up remover: I dab a little JOHNSON’S ® Baby Oil on a cotton ball at night to get my eye make-up off easily and gently.
five | feet softener: I can’t be the only one here who literally cringes at the thought of feet, right? Um yeah, they’re just not my thing. And dry, scaly feet? Get out of here with that. I love using baby oil on my feet after I get out of the shower and slipping on my socks. This locks in the moisture and helps really soften my feet when I’m in (desperate) need of a pedicure– winning!
I’m obsessed with this stuff and that baby fresh scent? It just always brings me right back to those squishy newborn days. Oh, I just love it!
I bet ya didn’t know that baby oil had so many uses, huh? I’m certain this isn’t everything either. It can’t be! That’s just how Johnson & Johnson products are, though, they’re so versatile. Just take a look at this Pinterest board and all of the alternative uses of their products!
